Arsenal Football association was founded just before the turn of the
twentieth years. In 1886 two players from Nottingham plantation reached
in Woolwich. That gave David Danskin, a Scotsman who was employed at
the nearby Arsenal Munitions manufacturer the concept of beginning a
football team of his own and he accumulated the support of his
associates and colleagues and a group was set up which was granted the
title of Dial rectangle in quotation to the sundial on the manufacturer
in Woolwich. The new team were aided by the Nottingham players who
approached their club for spare kit and were provided with red shirts.
The team won their very first agree against Eastern Wanderers 6-0 and
the fifteen men who had each paid a sixpence to help set up the
association met in a pub entitled regal Oak on Christmas Day in the same
year. It was then that they acquiesced on a title change for the
association and combined the regal part of the pub's title with Arsenal
from the title of their factory and therefore the club became renowned
as regal Arsenal. In 1893 the association was renamed as Woolwich
Arsenal and became a restricted business and the first south constituent
of the Football association with advancement to the First partition
celebrated in 1904. With some economic problems following, the next ten
years soon became a worried one for the association with relegation back
to the second division in 1913. This was the year that businessman
Henry Morris moved the association to their famous ground at Highbury
with the Woolwich part of their team title being dropped twelve months
subsequent. This means that holders of Arsenal permits this time of the
year will be celebrating a significant celebration - the centenary of

as Arsenal trounce Leicester Fosse 2-1. On resumption of the Football
League after the First World War, Arsenal were unexpectedly and
controversially promoted to the First partition, supposedly thanks to
Norris' influence on the association head person.
Manager Herbert
Chapman steered Arsenal to an FA Cup win in 1930 pursued by two
association Championships in the following two times of the year and
Chapman even had time to get an below ground station entitled after the
club before his tragic death initiated by pneumonia in 1934. The
foundations for success and the dominance of English football had now
been laid with the three more association titles and another FA Cup win
approaching under the duo of Joe Shaw and George Allison before the
intervention of the Second World War. Other prominent managers include
Tom Whittaker mail war, Bertie Lee in the sixties who proved a thriving
shock after retaining the function of physiotherapist for the
association and George Graham in the mid-eighties before his dismissal a
ten years later.
